ELIXIR Belgium consortium awarded 4-year grant by FWO
In the FWO International Research Infrastructure call of 2022, ELIXIR Belgium’s project proposal has been awarded 7.8M€ for the period of 2023-2026. This is the largest project in the 49M€ investment for international research infrastructures announced by Jo Brouns, the Flemish Minister of Science Policy and Innovation.
This grant allows us to continue to operate our Belgian ELIXIR Node, providing services to life science researchers. Additionally, it also gives us the opportunity to expand our portfolio both in the development of new services, and the implementation of new features within our current services line up.
Our priority areas for this 4-year project are to provide guidance and platforms for data management and data analysis, coordinate the deployment of a Belgian sensitive data infrastructure, develop federated approaches bringing the analysis to the data, and to offer domain specific services and data related training for our researchers.
